Talent, Tantrums and Sh!Tting Your Pants at the MPDA Finals
Me… seat… edge… yup, that was how it went for the whole time I was watching the finals of Miss Pole Dance Australia last Saturday night in Sydney. The talent was outstanding, the tricks even more dangerous, a competitor walked off-stage and just before going on-stage someone thought they pooped in their pants! Bobbi’s Pole Studio did another amazing job at hosting this extreme competition, where the best Australian female pole dancers gather to out-dance... Read More
The Crowie Comp Was Fit For a Princess
It's all smiles backstage As always, there were nerves backstage at the latest pole dancing competition. You’d never know it once the girls (and Matty) all got on-stage and performed though. There were tricks a-plenty and some of the closest drops to the floor that I’ve seen. My heart is always in my throat when the girls drop from the top and catch themselves just before they hit the floor, and this time it was no different. Alongside the practiced... Read More
Judge Jamilla Gives Her Verdict on Pole Candy
Guest post by Jamilla Deville For the last three years, PoleCandy has been steadily building a name for itself as the comp to be in for amateur dancers. Starting in a pub on George Street, Parramatta, in 2009, it has now grown itself into TWO comps, Amateur and Semi-Pro, the latter of which took place last weekend at the Roxy Theatre. With a capacity of 600, a huge stage & a ceiling that reaches to the stars, it’s as if PoleCandy has finally landed. Having... Read More

The flame-haired Callan took the men’s title and I was left mouth agape at the great strength and flexibility of the guy. When his leg went behind... Read More

Winners from the International Pole Championships (IPC) 2012
The competition was exceptionally high in Hong Kong as pole dancers from all over the world took upon their poles to compete in the International Pole Championships (IPC) 2012. Oona Kivelä won the prestigious ‘Ultimate Pole Champion’ title, so big congratulations to her, but I’m sure there was a lot of debate among the judges before that decision was reached. One of the judges, Marlo Fisken, said “ her performance stood out, primarily because of her execution and because... Read More

It took much more than high heels and sexy undies to win Miss Pole Dance Australia 2012
Wow what a night…. Enmore theater in Sydney was oozing talent last night at the finals of the Miss Pole Dance Australia 2012 competition. Part of Cleo's winning performance. Image supplied by Sascha Haycraft. It all kicked off with a stunning opener from the Bobbi’s girls and I have to say it’s the best opener I’ve seen yet – great chorie by Bobbi.
